Friendship Dojo
Shaolin Kempo Arts is a proud community partner with Friendship Circle of San Diego. Our Martial Arts school hosted Friendship Dojo with our friends at Friendship Circle to teach Martial Arts! Friendship Circle of San Diego is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing friendship and support to individuals with special needs and their families allowing them to be fully included in their community. Friendship Circle offers assistance and support to hundreds of individuals with special needs by providing a large range of social activities and at home programs and is volunteer based and serves the special needs community.
Shaolin Kempo Arts partners with EVOLVE Teen Treatment Program, a center that provides solution-focused therapy for teens struggling with mental health, addiction, and behavioral issues. We offer Martial Arts and our OUTSTANDING Guidance on leadership Development character development Program to these local teens in a small group environment focusing on their needs and goals. Shaolin Kempo Arts proudly participated in the Teen Volunteers in Action Kickoff Event teaching Self Defense to 7th-12th Graders. Teen Volunteers in Action is an organization of young men who, together with their families, are committed to developing community leaders through a structured program of volunteerism, philanthropy, and personal development. We enjoyed educating these young men in Self Defense and meeting these young philanthropists, community contributors and leaders of tomorrow. Anti-bullying and Anti-abduction school presentations
Shaolin Kempo Arts has delivered important presentations on anti-bullying to school-age children at local elementary schools in nearby communities such as Solana Santa Fe, Diegueno Elementary, La Jolla Country Day School, Temple Solel and Ashley Falls. Shaolin Kempo Arts educates children on the A,B,C's of what to do if faced in a bullying situation at school or in the community using A for Action, B for Back up and C for confidence. Shaolin Kempo Arts also educated the school kids how to be a H.E.R.O. which means HELP EVERYONE RESPECT OTHERS. Our message was to STOP BULLYING. STAND UP. SPEAK OUT!
Superstars of Martial Arts
Superstars of Martial Arts is a collaboration of talents featuring all styles of Martial Arts from a variety of local Martial Arts schools here in San Diego to perform on stage with lights, music, and tons of action! Shaolin Kempo Arts founded and hosted SSMA from 2012-2016
Superstars of Martial Arts event celebrates the Martial Arts while raising money for a good cause that we know is near and dear to many people who have had friends or family afflicted with cancer. A portion of each ticket sales was donated to the Amercian Cancer Society.
